Kanye West, formerly known as Ye, is an American rapper, record producer, and fashion designer.
On July 4, 2020, Independence Day, Kanye West announced his candidacy for President of the United States of America on Twitter. The campaign filed a Statement of Candidacy with the Federal Election Commission on July 16, 2020. He ran in the election despite missing the deadlines for being on the ballot as a third-party candidate in at least six states.
